Follow the PSBAA’s progress during the School Act review on our new blog!
On September 17th, the Hon. Dave Hancock, Minister of Education, invited Alberta’s frontline education stake-holders to participate in a review of the School Act. Ultimately, the Minister hopes to introduce new, more enabling legislation during the spring sitting of the Legislature. The Public School Boards’ Association of Alberta has agreed to participate in the process, and the Association encourages its memberships and the general public to engage themselves in this important dialogue on the future framework for provincial education as well.
Towards this end, the PSBAA has begun a new blog to provide its members and the general public with information and updates regarding the School Act review process. This blog does not only serve as a virtual bulletin board where you can learn about the process and keep yourself up-to-date — it is your meeting-place on the internet for constructive dialogue about the future of education in Alberta.
